Part II of my European adventure, is here! In July I vacationed in Italy to celebrate my 5 year wedding anniversary (and England, and France). If you missed Part I where I shared picture from the start of our trip in Positano, you can find it here. This set of photos I will be sharing are from Rome! What a whirlwind of an experience!
Rome was incredible and impressive, but exhausting. It was extremely hot and crowded (which is why I recommend you do not go in July), and our first day there we did a walking tour which took far longer than we anticipated. We covered a lot of ground though and got familiar with the city which helped make the next two days far more enjoyable than the first day.
It would be too much for me to write out everything we experienced in Rome. I will however give my #1 favorite travel tip. Book everything you can in advance to avoid waiting in lines for hours. We didn’t have to wait in a line at a single place we visited. So we spent all that extra time eating gelato!
Food is always one of our favorite parts of traveling. Our favorite spots to eat in Rome were Nonna Betta, and Meid in Nepols. At Meid in Nepols we ate ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, pizza with spicy salami, and pasta with olives, tomatoes and tuna. Delicious. Food is just so good in Italy!
My favorite place to get gelato of our entire Italy trip was also in Rome. Gelateria del Teatro, which is in my favorite area to grab espresso and take pictures, Piazza Del Fico.
